ABA Therapy

اے بی اے تھراپی: چھوٹے قدم، بڑی کامیابی

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a structured, evidence-based approach that teaches useful skills step by step and reduces behaviours that get in the way of learning. It is one of the most researched supports for autistic children.

Signs your child may benefit

  • Has difficulty following simple instructions or routines
  • Struggles to communicate needs, so frustration turns into tantrums
  • Repeats behaviours that interfere with learning or safety
  • Finds it hard to play with others or take turns
  • Has a diagnosis or screening result suggesting autism

What happens in sessions

  • A trained therapist first observes your child and sets clear, small goals with you
  • Skills are broken into tiny steps and practised through play and daily activities
  • Each success is rewarded with praise or a favourite activity, so learning feels good
  • Progress is measured every session, and goals are adjusted as your child grows

How you can help at home

  • Use the same simple words and rewards the therapist uses
  • Practise one skill at a time during everyday routines like dressing or meals
  • Praise the behaviour you want to see, straight away and specifically
  • Use our Parh SAFAR Parents Book for daily activities that match therapy goals

Common questions

How many hours of ABA does a child need?

It depends on your child. After screening and assessment, the therapist recommends a plan, which may range from a few hours a week to more intensive support.

Is ABA only for autism?

ABA principles also help children with ADHD and other developmental delays, especially for routines, attention and behaviour.

Will ABA change my child's personality?

Good ABA respects who your child is. The goal is building skills and independence, not making a child behave like a robot.

Parh's screening is not a diagnosis. For medical concerns, please also consult a qualified doctor.
